It is hard to say what the intention of Goleman in 1995, he said his book, but as time goes on, in my opinion, his intention is to convince more people to share his views, rather than A truly scientific way of notice to them. There are doubts whether he even had to write a book on emotional intelligence.
Whatever his intention, I believe, conscious of Goleman in 1995 to mislead the populace. I suppose this as in his volume appeared Mayer and Jack Lowe commenced to explicitly pass judgment on Goleman Bi Desha. In a similar way I criticize the term he had presented as being loosely defined emotional intelligence to him. Goleman, however, as far as I know, never apologized, and he say or write, never of interest to clarify the matter. In fact, he just confused the public more in 1998 book "Working with Emotional Intelligence." When reading this book, it is easy to see it written Goleman's intentions. His goal is obviously to cater to Fortune 500 executives, so he could build a paid consultant for their goal, I think it is fair to say that he achieved.
In any case, here is a connection; I believe he has been misleading the people, whether intentionally or not listed. After the list I provide more details and support my statement.
1. He asked about the strength and predictive power of emotional intelligence does not support the claim.
2. His own, self-created definition of emotional intelligence, including personality and behavior is not related to emotional intelligence, because it is the scientific definition. He also interchanges, such as emotional literacy, emotional health, emotional skills, abilities and emotional aspects. He had never defined these other terms, but all of them the equivalent of emotional intelligence.
