Critique of schools using reinforcement in early childhood classrooms

Tom suggested that reinforcements should be used in the classroom as they help increase motivation in children. Reinforcements are actually the main reason for de-motivation in children from a young age and this leads to them being poor performers academically. Children with special needs do not need reinforcement as it negates the concept of patience and nurturing which is crucial when dealing with special children.
