Critical Evaluation of Teaching Practice

Critical Evaluation of Teaching Practice

Introduction

Evaluating my own teaching is a challenging task in itself. Critical analysis needed to illustrate my experiences and relate an adequate so performance evaluation regarding my teaching habits. Being a faculty member of Mahatma Gandhi Secondary School located in Mauritius, I have occupied the post of a teacher in art and design for the last five years. Our school consists of students belonging to diverse backgrounds. The mission of our school is to help students develop and improve upon skills acquired through their earlier experiences. As a result, the students essentially “learn from past experiences, achieve in the present, and envision a better future.” This motto forms the essence of the culture developed by the school and defines the teaching method that teachers must adopt.

Teaching has always been an art form, and there are several methodologies to utilize to execute training. The teaching method developed at the school respects the different learning capacities of the students. As a result, the teachers instruct to devise their courses as carefully as possible so as to make them comprehensive and easy to grasp. This way, the school ensures that the teaching methods used by teachers in classrooms execute successfully. Accordingly, looking at it from the teacher's perspective, it can be observed that various aspects of the teaching method and techniques need to be evaluated and assessed with time in order to determine their efficiency, and how well the students achieve the learning objectives. I am a too and can make errors, but it is that I understand what the problems are in the teaching process (Shapiro & , 2000).

This can include the assessor accurately determining a range of characteristics such as how well the job is done, what information is convey through the work, and what reflection is form in the mind of the artist. In my experience, I have seen artwork representations coming from poems, songs, paintings, or even music (Briggs et al., 2008). As stated by other artists, every creation is unique and different and assessing its creation is not practical in nature. According to the study that I found, the interpretation of art relates to the field of physiology. I felt that the expression of art is a feeling or characteristic in which there is no replacement. Every idea is different; every style is different (Briggs et al., 2008). The work that comes out from these views and styles are also different. It happens very often that a particular student can represent many, unconventional views at the same time in a single painting (Briggs et al., 2008). In my training experience, I have used the most available tools, methods and procedures which relate the information to the ...
