Critical Analysis of Utilitarianism Theory and Application of MORAL Model



Introduction

Humans, especially health care professional and nurses in particular are presented with complicated and intricate situation on daily basis in their life and profession. It should be noted, that there are occasions and scenarios where there is no right and wrong answer and it is imperative for individuals to revert to ethical theories of decision making. This paper will analyze the ethical theory of utilitarianism and the MORAL model of decision making and how nurses can utilize the above mentioned guidelines to solve a patient centered ethical dilemma.
