Gender equality

Gender equality implies that equal conditions are available for women and men for recognizing their complete rights within and for imparting to, and gaining from, financial, cultural, societal, and political development. Therefore, the equilibrium of status given to each gender by the society regarding the sameness and the dissimilarities of males and females, and the roles they put in the society is termed as Gender equality. It is founded on females and males being partners of equal status in their houses, their communities and their societies. Gender equality initiates with equivalent esteeming of girls and boys. Education for All

Led by UNESCO, Education for All, (EFA) is an international movement, aspiring to fulfil the education needs of each and every one child, adolescent and adult by the year 2015. It has been designated to UNESCO to direct the movement and manage the global endeavours to attain Education for All. Some of the partners of UNESCO working toward reaching these goals include Governmental and non-governmental organizations, civil society, development agencies, and the media. The goals of EFA also put their contribution to the international pursual of the eight Millennium Development Goals, by 2015, particularly MDG 2 on worldwide education at primary level and MDG 3 on gender equality in education.

The objectives of EFA are fundamentally related with equality or equal opportunities for all. If children are leaved out from getting education, they are deprived of their human rights and prohibited from mounting their aptitudes and flares in the most essential of means.
