This report covers the contributions of Wundt in psychology. The primary focus of this report is to empathizes the contributions of Wilhelm Wundt and its influence on modern psychology, folk and voluntaristic psychology. In analyzing Wundt's work, the strengths and weaknesses of his contributions towards psychological science will also be analyzed, followed by the conclusion of the paper.

Wilhelm Wundt was born on August 16, 1832 in a small village of Neckarau, Mannheim Germany. He was a famous medical physician by profession, a psychologist, physiologist, philosopher, and professor, cognized today as between the constituting figures of advanced psychological science. He is widely reckoned as the "founder of observational psychological science.” (Butler B & Tom, 2007)

In 1879, Wundt established one of the 1st conventional science laboratories for the psychological study at the University of Leipzig. By making this research laboratory, he was able to research the nature of faiths, discover psychological disorders and abnormal conduct, and represent affected areas of the human brain. By causing this, he was able to constitute psychological science as a distinguished scientific discipline from other subjects. He also constituted the 1st journal for the psychological study in the year 1881.
