In order to discuss the competitive strategies of two different companies, it is necessary to first discuss their historical background. It was the year 1886 when an Atlanta pharmacist known as Dr.Pemberton. He was the one who began to produce syrup for Coca Cola in various fountain drinks. This was the time when his syrup was sold I fountain bottles independently until 1980's when the bottling was taken over by different franchises who started to consolidate. However, with the passage of time, Coca Cola Company merged with two other franchises to bottle their product. Coca Cola did everything to its best to achieve the best in market and to be the monopoly in the economic market.

Not only has this, but the Coca Cola company also started to profit and make a larger profit out of their sales which gave them a boost and upper edge over other brands available in the market. This also led many sports brands to get associated with Coca Cola as it was energizing many sportsmen. This was the time when Coca Cola had a further boost in its advertising and marketing on a large scale. Coca Coal initially started to sell itself in India and Germany. With the passage of time, Coca Cola became so notorious in the market and earned its name that it was now able to sell over one million products everyday. Coca Coal surpassed all types of cultures, ethnic background and races. Furthermore, they also sold their products across Bahrain and America. The main point of Coca Cola was to develop their taste in people so that it could easily go global.
