Compare and Contrast an Essay for a Better Family Dog
Background of Pit Bull
The pit bull dogs are notable medium-sized, sturdily built, short hair and a well-defined musculature. Although this breed is known by the generic name for pit-bull, the correct name in Castilian is American pit bull terrier. Although the name, of the breed gives the pit-bull think it originated in the U.S., the origin of this breed goes back to the nineteenth-century Britain. Originally created to be a fighting dog, the pit bull has physical characteristics that give it great strength and agility. A dog is also very resistant to physical pain and has the courage that surpasses all expectations. These characteristics have been a double-edged sword for the race. Pit bull fans appreciate his strength and agility, while his detractors say it is little more than a killing machine (Stahlkuppe, 5-27).
Physical Characteristics
The Pit Bull breed is not particularly large. In fact, as of work, the Pit Bull breed is rather small. This allows owners to have them quite comfortably in a small house or an apartment. While it is a dog with a lot of energy when given the opportunity to exercise, is a breed that prefers to be relaxed when at home. As such, it will be all the time tangling and is not a dog that made more striking than what many owners want their dogs (Twining, Arluke & Patronek, 25-52).
The Pit Bull also tends to be an affectionate dog. You can play a lot and live a long time without costing its owner a fortune in vet bills. It is not at all unusual to have a Pit Bull who lives 12, 13 or 14 years, and more. When these dogs eventually succumb to old age, disease typically does not suffer long, protracted and expensive.
