Use and Develop Systems That Promote Communication

Every member of staff was given the duty to use the most related method of communication for all the user of service. Every month a review is done in which the evaluation of wishes and needs and the way they are supported by using the predefined method of communication is done. When it is determined that the needs have changed, support and assistance is provided to both the user and staff. Total communication course have also been arranged for the designated members of staff.

3.2 Compare the effectiveness of different communications systems for partnership working

The primary case is that the members of staff were placing information in the book of communication for the other workforce to read. However, the employees were not communicated properly in terms of reading the book from the end of their last shift to the beginning of their next shift due to which they were missing important information. In order to resolve the problem, I initiated a new method in which the members were asked to read and sign a file which informed them about the new policy. Information that was considered to be important was placed inside the file to ensure that the members of staff read it.

A large collection of communication needs was also felt in the client group. It was realized that part of their information was either ignored or misinterpreted. In order to resolve this problem, I arranged for a meeting with every member of staff to measure the needs of every client individually and also assisted them in understanding the client's wishes and needs. It was decided that the client that had large amount of difficulty in communication will be allotted more time with the employees so that they can guide the client towards the area in which his needs can be fulfilled. A training program was also initiated to help the staff in recognizing the communication needs of every service user.
