Dragon's Den Project Summary

An idea that I believe that the investors of dragon den will be interested in is a round dining table that is suitable for 4 people can be rotated and spun to form a table of 6-8 people depending on the width amidst the chairs. The rotation and the spinning of table is intertwined in such a manner that it is not only smooth but also instant when it comes to the transition of the table from being a 4 seater to a 6-8 seater. It will be made in materials like plastic and wood and it is based on the materials that the price of it is going to be charged. Plastic materials are going to be relatively less expensive then the wooden one since wood is expensive and plastic is cheap. When it comes to the development of the product plastic is relatively easier to handle then the wood eventually lowering down the cost in relation to labour and utilities. The plastic oriented table will be directed towards the lower end of the market such as the middle lower, middle-middle and the middle-upper strata's of the society and when it comes to wooden material it is directed towards the middle-upper, upper-lower, upper-middle and upper-upper of the society. This way the product will not only be accessible to the upper class but also to the lower class as far as the target market is concerned. As far as the pricing strategy is concerned the kind of pricing strategy that will be used is penetration pricing but at the same time it will also be slightly premium based on the different types of product lines. The kind of product line that the product might have the potential of developing is making a 2 seater and transforming it to a 4 seater which will eventually impact the price making it accessible to middle -lower strata of the society. There will also be a 3 seater which can be transformed into a 6 seater, so on so forth. In this way many combinations can be made which can benefit the investors and their companies and at the same time aiding them in targeting different strata's of the society.

The form of communication that will be made use off when it comes to the presentation is live demonstration. I will demonstrate the ease with which the transformation that takes place and ensure that a child is also made to understand how it works and demonstrate it in front of the investors. I will also ensure that there are two tables, one being made out of plastic and one being made out of wooden. This will ensure that such transformation can be done by a child as well.
