Communicating and Collaborating Effectively Within a Group of Individuals with Different Learning Styles and Personality Types
Since trying to teach someone something that was fairly simple, but they could not understand the basic concept? Or it was found that they were able to understand what the concept fairly quickly? Whether there ever was a time when some persons in the group of happening, while others disappear on the back. (Atkins, 2006) If yes, as noted, any of the above is that it may have experienced a difference in learning styles, and personalities. A learning style is the preferred way in which a person learns, the three common learning styles are: visual, auditory and kinesthetic (hands on). Personality type is slightly different, it was classified as an organized pattern of behavioral characteristics of a person (Fromm, 1947), such as an organizer, presenter and thinker. By exploring what the effect of learning preferences and personality types of people in a group, these preferences can be effectively used in combination to develop a strategy for communication within the group.
Visual learners learn best to find the information they are using photos, images and color media, to help them learn. Characteristics of those visual learners is that they think in images, not words, but look for the visual presentation of information (Sharp 1998). These students, although they remember what they see, they forget what they hear, and those who remember the details of what they hear may be labeled as an audience of students.
