For the past three years, I have been part of the Drew School yearbook staff. I picked up a role in yearbook during my sophomore year and on to my senior year. My task in yearbook evolved from a staff member to an editor. As a yearbook editor now, I am able to contemplate the difficulties that go into being a leader of a community. For example, this year we had to decide on a final cover idea and we had to choose between two great cover ideas. As an editor, I decided that rather than debating about which cover would be best we should have a vote to decide on the cover design. As a result, we have decided on a yearbook cover outline and added more ideas that pleased the majority of the yearbook staff. When I signed up for yearbook initially, I had not realized that I would earn so many leadership skills that would continue to be a part of me as I continue through future careers.
