Introduction to Cold War

Originally the start of the cold war was due to different ideologies of USA and the Soviet Union. This is because USA was a country with capitalist democracy and had great values for freedom and peace. However, Soviet Union was a communist country whose priority was the needs of the country rather than the human rights.

Britain, USA and Soviet Union were allies after the world war and were following agreements for the betterment of the peace and freedom. However, the three were having a hard time in getting agreed on various occasions in a conference which covered the aspects of post war peace. This difficulty further led to disagreement between USA and the Soviet Union which lead to the broke down of the conference. The difference in the ideologies, goals and aims cause a series of occurrence of events which broke the alliance of the countries and the allies turned into enemies. Both sides due to certain differences never trusted each other and everything that was done lead to misconceptions and oppositions.

USA feared that the Soviet Union would attack the country based on ideologies and beliefs. On the other hand Soviet Union feared that USA would use their atomic bombs on them. Both countries disliked the ideologies of each other and there were many occasions where both opposed on the collaboration of certain aspects. Also that Russia wanted to expand into the eastern Europe and wanted a more secure western border for the country, Secondly Russia broke the promise made about elections and wanted communism to be promoted throughout the world. All these situations and oppositions lead to distrust and disrespect for each other.
