Cloud Computing

Abstract

Cloud computing is one of the greatest addition in the technology, which helps the businesses to enhance their work processes. It provides several ways to the organizations and businesses in order to increase their functionality or IT capacity without adding personnel, infrastructure and software.Introduction

Cloud computing is the utilization of computing resources, including software and hardware, that are transmitted as a service over any network, like internet. It is called cloud computing because of its cloud like shape. It has a complex infrastructure, containing number of systems in a single diagram. Cloud computing relies on all the services apart from, user's data, computation and software. The users of cloud computing, access the applications of cloud by the help of web browser or mobile applications. On the other hand user's data and business software are saved on the remote servers (Andriole & Khorasani, 2010).

Technology researchers claim that it allows the organizations to prevent the cost of infrastructure. It helps the companies to focus on their projects instead of their infrastructure. Technology researchers also claim that it allows the organizations to modernize their applications with enhanced quality and speed. Cloud computing minimizes the maintenance and manageability of the applications and ensures the smooth operations throughout the organization. It helps the IT of the company to face the challenges and risks, with in the organizational processes. It provides several ways to the organizations and businesses in order to increase their functionality or IT capacity without adding personnel, infrastructure and software (Andriole & Khorasani, 2010).

Discussion

Cloud computing is the consumption of computing resources, including software and hardware, that are transmitted as a service over any network for instance, internet. Cloud computing allows an organization to maintain the platforms and infrastructure that operates certain applications in an organization. Cloud computing believes in sharing of sources in order to get economics of sale and coherence, same as utility on any network. The main concept behind the cloud computing is of shared devices and converged infrastructure (Nelson, 2009).

Aim of Cloud Computing

Cloud computing is one of the greatest addiction in technology. It is the result of adoption and evolution of existing paradigms and technologies. The aim of cloud computing is to permit the users to take advantage from all the innovative technologies, without having any deep experience or knowledge about it. Cloud aims to reduce the cost and help the consumers to emphasize on their business processes instead of being worried about IT issues (Picker, 2008).

Cloud introduces two main technologies including autonomic computing and virtualization. Virtualization summarizes the physical structure of the business. Infrastructure is considered as one of the toughest component but, cloud makes it convenient. The implementation of virtualization helps the organization to enhance and improve its IT operations. In cloud computing the increase in utilization of infrastructure helps the organization to reduce the cost of IT operations (Fenn, et.al., 2009).

Autonomic computing helps the organization to automate their work procedures. It helps the user to get and utilize their desired resources. In this computing the ...
