Introduction

The poem is important in communicating the thoughts, emotions and feelings to the readers. They also attract many people because of their lyrics and their overall style. This is the reason why it has been seen that there are many famous poets in the world. The poets have gained a lot of recognition because of their contribution towards poetry. In this topic, the interpretation of the poem would be carried out.

Interpretation of the Poem

The poem has a title “Love in Place”. The person mentioned in the poem is communicating his experience with the strong emotion “love”. In the first instance, he tries to say that he cannot exactly remember when he fell in love that much. He shared his story of cooking few dishes that included bake corn bread, ham and lemon pie. Though, while doing these activities, he used to stop in the middle of the day and used to contemplate on the possibility of falling in love. He even remembered that he quit biting and few other physical features also made him realized that he fell in love at least once. He watched the photographs of his old friends, missed the old days and also appreciated them for their good actions. He felt that he certainly loved his old friends and relatives. He cannot be under the state of denial regarding this fact. Love has no boundaries and it is not just limited to few people. Some people do not express their love but that does not mean they do not love anybody. The actions of the people are also enough to communicate the message to the other person.
