Michael Lassell in the poem: "How to watch your brother Die", brings a lot of different issues in the table. From reading this poem, I do not think this is Lassell's brother, who is actually dying, but rather a close friend and that friend's own brother, whom he knew in his life.
His barrier collapse, when the narrator discovers his brother's terminal illness and impending death. The long-lost sister of love finally resurfaces as narrator sobs of his regret for completing his brother for many years.
