Introduction

This paper intends to discuss the learning of my course. This paper will mainly focus on research from the viewpoint of IRB Proposal. Research questions for the Brain Pathways will be developed along with the methodology to answer the research questions. Sampling information will be explored and the possible risks and benefits will also be provided. Moreover, the process of making the Doctoral Program fun will also be explored. Lastly, the evaluation of learned ideas, skills and concepts will be provided. The idea of learning about oneself from the perspective of 'self as instrument' will be implied. The purpose of this paper is to explore the overall learning of this course particularly in relation with Brain Pathways. Moreover, the paper intends to make the reader aware about the significance of research from IRB's perspective.

Discussion

The neural pathways are related to the connection of various parts of nervous system. These pathways are important to connect one part to another. Usually white matter is connected through there pathways which is consisted of elongated and insulated neurons. Neural pathways are also significant for the connection of distant areas of the nervous system. However, the grey matter is usually not served by the neural pathways for the purpose of communication (Sydney, 1999).

Researching about Brain Pathways for the purpose of IRB proposal requires the basic understanding of the requirements of IRB. IRB requires the research questions for Brain Pathways, the methodology to answer the suggested research questions, identification and explanation of the sample and most importantly the possible risks and benefits. This paper will certainly focus on developing on the requirements of IRB proposal and making sure that all the requirements are adhered with.

Research Problem

The thesis statement of this research proposal is to identify the methods that can enhance practices in order to promote the treatment related to the diseases of brain pathways. The research problem is to identify the newer methods for the purpose of dealing with brain injuries and diseases and also the methods from which such diseases can be prevented. The medical professionals are entrusted by the patients that they will provide quality care to them and it certainly becomes an obligation for the professionals to adhere with the research standards dealing with brain injuries (Sydney, 1999). This research will focus on the methods to improve the treatment practices of the diseases that are related to brain pathways and also to research for various new methods for treating such patients with immense care and with the utilization of new technology.

How can “basic” neuroscience research help to find cures for neurological disorders?

What capacity does the brain have to repair itself after injury or disease?

How have brain-imaging methods such as PET and MRI affected neuroscience research and clinical care?

Can stroke be prevented through the early detection of the brain pathways diseases?
