The night was cold and lonely. The night appeared to be darker than ever before. She could muster no hope and courage to breathe. She felt God had been cruel and unfixing. It was a dreadful dream that just came true. She was upset, lonely and dejected. She dreamt of a life of peace and love; what she got in reality was something none would have desired. Terrell was hers, yet he was not hers anymore. She could remember the moments they played and talked, forgetting all bad things off the mind. She could remember how peaceful she felt in his company, with him by her side. It was no longer going to happen. “What made Terrell forget me for someone who just stepped into his life a little while ago?” was the question she could not answer by herself. It was Terrell who taught her the virtues of “pure love” and “lasting friendship”. “How hard it is to live without him!” Mya could see a future full of gloominess and darkness. For it was Terrell who was the light of her life.

It all began with Terrell and Mya's friendship with each other that led the two individuals to a strong bondage of affection and frankness. However, good times do not last long. Terrell called off her engagement with Mya for another girl who stepped into his life as his girlfriend. As a result, Mya was abandoned and left out. She had always counted upon Terrell for everything. How could she live her life without Terrell by her side? It was next to impossible. “I would never contact him after his marriage, for love knows no U-turns”, she decided by herself. Terrell's marriage marked the end of every relation with Mya.

“Hey, you?” Mya could not believe her eyes. She was standing in front of Terrell, her Terrell. Terrell came closer and greeted her. She could read her eyes; they were full of sleep and dejection. Eyes are the mirror to human soul. They could reflect what the human tongue would never say. “What happened Terrell? You are not feeling fine, I am sure.” Terrell knew it was only Mya who could see his soul thorough his eyes. “Nothing Mya, good to see you here in the United Army! Together we serve, Right?” Mya could sense his voice coming from deep within, where the heart could only feel pain and grief. “Yes Terrell, I cannot believe we are in the Terrell squad and unit. Good to see you too man!” Terrell was her only love, and she remembers the tough times they went through, before they could be back together again. Mya believed that God will be at her side all throughout her life, and it was this faith that brought them together after facing a tough situation in life.
