Ethical Considerations

The researchers took ethical approval from the hospital and university human ethics and review committee. The study ensured confidentiality by coding the data. The transcripts and the demographics data were stored in the locked cabinets in university. It was also important to get a confidentiality document signed by the persons employed to transcribe the cassettes to ensure no data breach. Besides, if participants get distressed during the interview, the researchers prearranged a referral system with appropriate counseling services. However, referral was not undertaken as no women experienced any distress during the interview.
