Computer crimes are considered as the most illegal and criminal activity as it severely affects the integrity and security of the entire country. According to recent researches and case studies, computer crimes got popularity after the emergence of internet technology. Internet technology has enhanced the risk of computer crimes, on national as well as on international levels. Recent researches demonstrate that, U.S. government court system and law enforcement agencies have introduced and passed various legislations (Vacca, 2005). These legislations may play a vital role in minimizing the risk of computer crimes. Proceeding paper incorporates the main idea of computer crimes. In addition to this, the paper also describes four common categories of computer crimes. Moreover the paper also explains the most disastrous computer crime and the role of U.S. government court system and law enforcement agencies in reducing the threats of computer crimes.

Furthermore, computer crimes are also referred as an activity of gaining unauthorized access on computer systems or network. Cyber crime may include various activities, including hacking, stealing, copying, damaging and changing any confidential data or software. It is often observed that, computer crimes may greatly influence the integrity of any organization or nation. Computer crimes have various categories (Vacca, 2005).
