Question 1

Employee benefits are the noncash compensation offered by employers to their employees as part of the total compensation package. The benefits offered by employers generally reflect a basic care and concern for the well-being of employees and the importance of that well-being to employee productivity. For the most part, employee benefits may be placed in one of three categories: health-related insurance, financial insurance and quality-of-life benefits (DeCenzo & Robbins, 2010). Human Resource is the most important and integral part of every organization. The way a HR department runs, deeply affects the whole organization. A hefty part of an organization's growth depends on the Human Resource department as they are responsible for recruiting the people who are suitable for the job. They must ensure that the employees of the organization are satisfied and motivated enough to put their best efforts in their tasks.

Compensation is an important factor in the quality of employment, although this is not most important. It is clear that nonprofits are struggling to overcome in order to offer competitive salaries and benefits to attract and retain qualified personnel. Organizations can - and should - make their strengths: people are also looking for jobs where they can improve things, challenges interesting and varied, and maintain productive working relationships (Hiriyappa, 2011). However, it is an inescapable fact that compensation has a lot because it is a factor that people attach great importance when they take an interest in a job. Benefits include things like retirement plans, medicals, etc. Therefore, it can be said that benefits enhance the overall compensation plan or package of the employee, as things like employee medical and retirement plans are in place for the benefit of the employee, without the employee having to pay much for it.
