Introduction

This paper is being devised as an effort of demonstrating the influence of environmental and behavioral factors on corporate size, structure and strategy of the selected organization. Later this paper will develop an understanding of the business planning and policy making and the reason for change over time. The selected organization for developing this paper and fulfilling all the required outcomes is Apple Inc. The company was formerly known as Apple computers and is currently a company which is dealing not only in the only area of computers but also covering a huge range of consumer electronic. The products of apple are diverse and are formulated after compiling a variety of new technologies and this is how Apple Inc. has made such a remarkable name in the global arena.

The further discussion in this paper is going to be done by looking at various academic theories and dynamics of the market in which Apple Inc. is dealing. This will make it possible to get a better understanding of the matter of concern and also will allow in giving meaningful conclusive remarks in the end.

Discussion

Apple is a multinational organization which is dealing in consumer electronic since last four decades. It is a renowned name which has acquired such a huge market share in such a small span of time. Being a retailer there are so many behavioral factors which are of utmost importance for Apple Inc. along with various environmental aspects which are also influential on it corporate size, structure and strategy of the selected organization at the same time.

Environmental Factors

While talking about the environmental factors, at Apple Inc. this can be further classified into two more groups which are regulatory and infrastructure.

Regulatory

There are various regulatory issues which are faced by apple. The very core reason behind this is the multinational exposure of the organization. Later on, one of the very main regulatory issues that are existent is expected to be existent for a long time is that currently, the iPhone in the United States is being sold locked, this means that it can be used only with one provider which is AT&T. The ever increasing public interest groups are determined to have a unlocked iPhone in the United States (Vogelstein, 2008).

In so many European nations, the competitions laws exist are not allowing the sale of locked mobile phones; this is a possible situation for United States too. Currently, all the operators which are with exclusive agreements for selling the iPhone in the countries in which there are various regulatory restrictions for “not to lock” iPhone normally have one price for iPhones tied to a contract with the particular operator, and a bit higher price for selling of unlocked phone which are able to be with every carrier (Laugesen and Yuan, ...
