Introduction

The aim of this paper is to use the strategic management tools and techniques in order to provide a plan to Porsche Company to expand its operations in the region of Dubai. The decision making of expanding business in host country is not any easy task. It requires brief analysis of many factors in order to identify the attractiveness of a region. It is quite obvious that companies like Porsche are running in order to earn maximum profit. Therefore, it is extremely important to identify the key factors of a place before expanding in there.

The company is a German company that is running in the sector of automotive. The company is owned and controlled by Porsche and Piech families. It is headquartered in Zuffenhausen, Baden Wuttemberg. The company is known for producing and selling quality cars for almost all of the age groups. The company has the financial strength of expanding itself to various different countries around the globe (Evtimov et al, 2007, pp.9).

The region of United Arab Emirates can be seen as a liberal outlook that is dedicated to free trade. Porsche can find a modern business infrastructure along with high-tech office space, well developed travel logistics, high quality, and a fiscal plan beneficial for individuals and corporations, and a confident corporate environment. The country is a major buyer of goods and services of U.S, with approximately 8.4 billion value of import. There are large numbers of multinational companies operating in Dubai in order to enjoy the benefits offered by the country.

Sample Overview

There are total 60% males and 40% females included in the study to make this study fairly balamced. The marital status for the participats shows that 95% of the participants were married and only 5% of them at widowed which is significantly a large difference between the two groups. The age factor is another important while determining the characterstics of the sample. Almost 40% of the participants including males and females belong to the age group of 18 - 30 while 55% of the participats belonged to the age group 30 - 43 and only one left who belonged to the age group between 44 - 56.



Sample Analysis

The competition of the company would be very high in the region of Dubai as it involves most of the biggest and leading multinational companies of the world running in the sector of automobile (Carter, 2008, pp.24). Therefore, it is important for the company to use its resources in order to maintain is competitive advantage in the industry that is being the supreme brand in the market. The industry of car has high level of barriers for the entry and exit of new entrant. It is because there is a need to invest a large amount of money before entering the industry of Automobile.
