The main subsidiary of the company is Boots The Chemists Limited. The company adopted the name Alliance Boots in 2006 after it merged with Alliance UniChem Plc. Boots Group Plc makes available a wide array of wholesale distribution as well as related services for both the healthcare as well as the pharmaceutical industry (Alliance Boots, 2011).
