The organisations play a major role in our lives and especially when it comes to the growth of the business on a larger scale. This chapter tell us the importance to understand how the organisation's function and the persistent influence they have on the people's behaviour. Organisational behaviour is all about the study on the people's behaviour within the organisation. The behaviour of the people with an organisation also depends upon the organisation's environment. The behaviour of the people can however, be understood based on three major disciplines that are psychology, sociology and anthropology.

Organisations are known to be complicated social systems. There are various approaches to study and organisation, one of them is to view it in terms of contrasting images. To estimate the success and efficiency of an organisation is not a simple task, but an important element that achieves productivity for an organisation through managing people effectively. People vary in terms of their manner and involvement extent they have for work (Mullins, 2010, pp. 03 - 36). Different situations have an impact on the employee's direction towards work and ethics. Culture has major consequences for the effective management of employees and studying and understanding the behaviour of work place.
