History of the Company

In 1886, when in the New York Harbor works were busy constructing the Statue of Liberty, a great American symbol was getting ready to be revealed. The Atlanta pharmacist, John Pemberton who changed the American history by developing a revolutionary drink. At this time, the drink was sold for five cents a glass. The name of Coca Cola was kept by the Pemberton's bookkeeper and this name become of one the iconic symbol of American history. Griggs Candler became the first president of the company and brought the actual vision into a successful reality. The company reported 4% global growth of volume and 3% global growth of brand for the last quarter of 2012. The Company has been operating as a major distributor and bottler of soft drinks in US.
