Introduction

The deliberate termination of a human pregnancy is referred to as abortion leading to killing a child. Sociologists are more interested to know its nuts and bolts (i.e. ethical and social values, i.e. who, what, where, when and why a female got abortion) rather than its cultural values and would put less emphasis on the meaning of abortion.
