Discussion

This sickness, also named manic-depressive illness, it is one of the oldest diseases identified to man. Over 1% of the population in the United States suffers from this disorder, yet the origin and the cure is unidentified. numerous go wrong to realize how grave and how brutal this infection is. David Meyers defines bipolar disorder as a feeling disorder in which the individual alternates between the hopelessness and lethargy of despondency and the overexcited state of mania.

Manic-depression falsifies moods and thoughts, incites dreadful behaviors, decimates the cornerstone of rational considered, and too often decays the desire and will to live. It is clear that the agony and agony one endures through this disorder is topped up with an overall disarray and restricted hope. (Tohen, 2003)

Emil Krapelin formally established the period "manic-depressive" in 1913 due to his investigations of the consequences of despondency along with mania. (Gijsman, 2004)
