P & G was certainly justified about the investigation it started upon its own employees due to the fact that the leakage of confidential information is not only unethical in respect of business ethics, but also a great threat for the successful and efficient business operations of the company. It is obvious that P & G would not want its competitors to know about any company secrets and that it would definitely want its business secrets to be publishes in public journals.
