Behavior Modification is characterized as the use of pays or penalties to decrease or eradicate awkward behavior, or to educate one-by-one new answers to ecological stimuli. The aim of a behavior modification program is to change and adapt behavior that is unsuitable or undesirable. Two major devices utilized in behavior modification are affirmative and contradictory reinforcement. Behavior modification can be traced to lab study as far back as the 1800's and 1900's.
