Introduction

Child abuse and maltreatment is a global issue, which unluckily takes place in every culture and society (Fergusson, Horwood & Lynskey, 1997). The term “Child Abuse” brings up intended actions and behaviors that result in emotional or physical harm to children. Child abuse is considered a social concern that impinges on millions of children every year, however, children who belong to the toddler group or are less than 3 years of age are the most common victims.
