Assessment Item 2

One of the assumptions on which usually are based statistical tests for comparison of groups is that the observations belonging to each of the samples are independent, unrelated, being just such an objective randomization (random choice of subjects or units of observation, randomization for each patient, etc). However, as discussed, the lack of independence between observations of the groups may be a feature of study design to look fundamentally more efficient by decreasing of statistical variability. In other cases with this type of design matched what is sought is to give greater validity to the inferences drawn by controlling or eliminating the influence of extraneous variables whose effect is already known or suspected, and do not want to intervene in the current study may mask the effect of treatment or the variable of interest.

Research Question

Is there a difference in the amount of crime before implementation compared to after implementation?

Data

The data set for this paper contains two variables (i.e. pre crime and post crime), 60 participants were investigated. Developing and implementing an effective strategy to fight crime is not a simple matter; they were engaged in all States to more than one hundred years, but significant results have not reached. It seems to me the most productive direction of alignment of a strategy with an appropriate element of the mechanism of the crime.

It is known that any crime - is a specific process that begins with the negative identity formation, and then develops the motivation, the decision is made by a crime, and then he followed the events that take place after the crime (punishable by criminal or his evasion of justice).

Method

Paired Two Sample t-test for the mean is used to test hypotheses about differences in averages for two samples of data. It does not assume equality of ...
