Introduction
The Management of the Day Surgery Patient information sheet is evaluated from the three systematic reviews conducted by the Nursing Practice Unit, La Trobe University and the Day Surgery Special Interest Group, ANF, Victorian Branch. The day surgery is a concept that you go to the hospital the day of your surgery and go home the same day, usually several hours after your surgery. Your participation in your recovery plays an important role in the success of your hospitalization. This article covers the pre-admission, post admission and staffing procedures carried out when managing a day surgery.

Comments: The patient is not specifically described, however, the reader can judge by going through the background of the article that a patient of the dat surgery is the one who is not hospitalized for the surgery to be taken but only comes for a day, on the day of surgery.

Comments: These are covered in separate headings of the three stages of the day surgery. An example of such health risk and benefit is in post-admission care that a tympanic temperature is not a useful measure for discharge readiness, the Post-Anaesthetic DischargeScoring System is, and could be used to replace the existing clinical discharge criteria.
