Introduction

Julius Caesar was a general of Roman times and a renowned writer of poetry (Latin). The transition of Roman Empire from Roman Republic was one of the most critical tasks performed by Julius Caesar. In the year 60 BC, Pompey, Crassus and Caesar developed a political party with the purpose of dominating the politics of Rome for many years. Their act to accumulate great power with the help of populist methods was not acceptable by the upper class present in the Roman senate. The invasion by Caesar of Gaul expanded the territory of Rome to the Rhine and English Channel. He became the first general of Roman times who cross the bridge to Rhine and invaded Britain for the first time.

He received great military strength and power that threatened the Pompeys authority. With the death of Crassus, the balance of power got further disrupted, and the political issues in Rome became more strained between Pompey and Caesar. Pompey followed the demands and requests of the Senate. Caesar on the other hand, was order to stand trial for various allegations in Rome. He was the order by the Senate to stand trial in Rome for sundry charges, Caesar went to Rome in protest with only one group, which causes civil war in Rome, and as a result, to it Caesar became the unequal leader of the Roman Empire.

When Caesar came into power, he worked to develop and reform the government and the Roman society and culture. He brings the governmental control at one focal point and came to be known as the "dictator in perpetuity". Marcus Junius Brutus led an assembly of senators; this assembly murdered the dictator on 15 March, 44 BC at the Ides of March. They did it in the hopes of restoring the government to its usual way, however, this cause a list of civil wars that finally results is the establishment of the permanent parliament in Rome; which was led by the adopted heir of Caesar 'Octavius'. Octavius later came to be known as Augustus.

Almost 60 senators of Roman Empire (known as Liberators) conspire against Caesar and assassinated him. This assassination was led by Marcus Junius Brutus and Gaius Cassius Longinus and they, in the theater of Pompey (that was on the Ides of March). On March 15, they stab Julius Caesar to his death while the play was on. Caesar was declaring by the senate as the dictator perpetual, this news made most of the people worried that at some point he might turn the tables on senate for the sake of dictatorship.
