ASEAN and Myanmar's Political Change

The states of ASEAN favour peer pressure and diplomacy to sway the military regime of Myanmar for releasing the political detainees including Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, for the promotion of national reconciliation. Up till now the efforts of ASEAN have remained unsuccessful although, Myanmar is being moved beyond the rule of extra-constitutional.
