Why did the Articles of Confederation prove inadequate for governing the new nation?

Introduction

The main argument of this study is that the Articles of Confederation have proved insufficient to control the new state and the government. The Articles of Confederation was an unsuccessful attempt because the central government is not in enough commanding position. Therefore, the states refused to obey the requirements of the Constitution and obligation.
