IntroductionThe paper discusses the article named “The AG Corps Force Development Update” written by Mr. David Galassie. It discusses the U.S. army transformation in coordination of a comprehensive HR strategy. The change has been successful in making the army sustainable to today's military requirements.

SynopsisThe article discusses the restructuring initiatives and challenges of the human resource and personnel transformation in the army of United States of America. This transformation will change the force into a more flexible and versatile unit, while coping with the challenges of the force management. The HR community is undergoing a significant human resource transformation. The organizations including the PERSCOM, Personnel service Battalions and Personnel detachments are transformed into new human resource support centre. The purpose is to ensure effective recruitment, emergency, and personnel management. The human resource redesign favors the modular army where the commanders will be able to execute the personnel services while improving support for the casualty operations. The major changes in the workload are seen from linear processing to the diversified operations across the combat forces. The focus on the core processes improves the personnel readiness. The individual responsibility increases, bringing a significant change in the work operations where the actions shift directly from command or HR specialist to the action agency.
