Research should become the working partner of both our own knowledge with learning and alert discussion about learning with our contemporaries. If we are taking knowledge and learning seriously, we will be required to know what to seek and look for (through research), to scrutinize ourselves in the act of lifelong knowledge and learning (self reflection), and to be much more understandingly conscious of the learning of the learners (students) that we see in front of us every day (David, 2009).
