Introduction

Lyme disease is one amongst the most common zoonotic disease which transmits through arthropods, in North America. This is a common disease because of the high prevalence rate of B. burgdorferi infected ticks, named as Ixodes scapularis. Researchers believe that mice are the main carriers of this tick, thus, increasing the risk of Lyme disease across the country. Precisely, lime disease is a bacterial infection, which spreads from a person to a person from the bite of the black legged tick.
