What Inspired the Tragedy of Macbeth?

Introduction

Macbeth is a renowned and globally recognized play written by William Shakespeare. It is counted amongst those plays which the read and acted out the most. A lot of colleges and high schools add Macbeth as a part of their literature curriculum because it possesses a huge potential of dissection and discussion of angles, symbolisms and themes. It can even help the reader to identify the effect politics has on literature.

Theme

The main theme which Shakespeare is putting across in the play that when ambitions are allowed to govern the actions of person with no regard for moral ethics the end result is simply chaos. The main character and his wife are seen to personify this theme.

This theme of the show of Macbeth and Banquo expressed that they were returning from a war for the kingship of Scotland after the resounding victory. On the road, they encounter three witches, who perform amazing predictions. According to the sisters, the three weavers here symbols of human destiny, the protagonist becomes Thane of Cawdor, and eventually the new sovereign. As Banquo will be the progenitor of kings. Shortly after Macbeth is elected the Thane of Cawdor by King Duncan; surprised at the accuracy of earlier revelations. He writes a letter to his wife, Lady Macbeth, telling what happened. A greedy woman then suggests her husband that the King is murdered for the government of the kingdom then pass to your hands.

Macbeth, at first hesitantly succumbs to temptation and invites the ruler to stay in their residence. At night, he goes to his room and kills mercilessly. Immediately, It becomes his throne, but his conscience would not relieve. The guilt haunts him and he follows committing insane acts, how to end the life of his companion Banquo because he believes that accuses him for murdering the King Duncan.

The son of his friend i.e. the future king joins his great rival, Macduff from whom he stole the family to murder her, and then invest against the tyrant. It increasingly cruel not bears the guilt, but shortly, the witches had proved him that no man born of a female figure, thus they would be able to kill him.

By this time the king is already going crazy, and unbalanced radically to learn that his wife, notwithstanding the ghosts that haunted his conscience had resorted to suicide. At this time his main rivals are guilt, remorse, and the ghosts of his victims.

Macbeth

This tragedy is in five acts, and in verse and prose of William Shakespeare that was probably written between 1605 and 1606. It released in 1606 and printed in the folio edition of 1623.The text is unsatisfactory touches on signs that seem to present, probably for cuts and interpolations. The source of the work is the Chronicle of Holinshed, that events in Scotland is based on the English version, and John Bellenden of Scotorum Historiae (1527) Hector Bocce.
