CHOICE #2: Argue that one parent should - or should not - stop working when their children are born.

Marriage is a bond between two people for spending their lives together and sharing all their happiness and sorrows with each other. Though, marriage is a union of two people, but the whole society is involved in this process of bonding. The society has set some roles for the men and women who are in relationships. A society thinks that the main role of men in wedding is to work and earn money in order to provide financial support to the family. On the other hand, the society expects that a women's responsibility is to sit at home and perform the home chores and take care of the children. Thus, this is the main perception of society for a successful relationship in marriage.

There are different writings on the issue of marriage and the role of men and women in this relationship. Different authors have written their stories for marriage. Here are some examples of the marriage stories of different authors. In the article “The satisfaction of Housewifery and Motherhood in an age of do-your-own-thing” the author has supported being housewife after becoming a mother. She has claimed that being the housewife is more effective approach as compared to being the professional after being a mother (Bartels, 2004). The second article is “Paradise Lost (Domestic Division)” in which the author has claimed that being a working mother is better than being a house wife. The third article is “The Myth of Co-Parenting: How it was supposed to be. How it was” in which the author has written about the benefits of both parents working in practical field.
