A level of care and consideration for patient welfare can be maintained by a safe environment that is as crucial as any other aspect of competent health care. The approach for improving safety is to get acquainted about grounds of error and utilize this information for designing systems of care for making errors less common and less harmful, if they occur. Consequently, efforts have been intensified by researchers, policymakers, and providers to recognize and transform organizational situation, constituents, and procedures of health care systems as they affect patient safety.
The second-fastest mushrooming sector of the U.S. economy is health care, and the largest occupation is nursing within the industry, catering job opportunities to more than 2.4 million people and the highest projected growth. According to the International Council of Nursing and the Institute of Medicine's recent reports, the work environment is among one of the rationales for the existing and upcoming shortages of nurses. New students may attract by enhancing the environment wherein nurses work, in addition to, engagement of current professionals in building up innovative models of care delivery that will facilitate retaining and nurturing of future nurses.
