Since the discovery of the first ever antibiotic penicillin the discovery was considered as one of the most beneficial find. Antibiotics were considered as the ultimate source of healing every single ailment. These lead many physicians to exceedingly rely upon antibiotics to cure every little illness, treating common sinuses and colds increased the exposure of bacteria to antibiotics in the environment. This caused the bacteria to mutate and become anti biotic resistant. These peptides are known for their tendency to kill Gram negative and Gram positive bacteria, and apart from these various other bacterial microorganisms, viruses, and fungi. Based on these factors antimicrobial peptides are increasingly being recognized as a promising alternative to antibiotics.
