Anorexia nervosa is a psychiatric illness, which are described in the food disorder characterized by extremely low body weight and body image distortion with the haunting fear of gaining weight. People with anorexia are known, to control body weight, usually by voluntary starvation, excessive exercise, weight or other control measures, such as diet or pills, diuretic drugs. Although primarily affects the status of women, adolescents, about 10% of people diagnosed are male. The term anorexia is of Greek origin, which means lack of desire to eat (Aden, 1986).
