Introduction

The Criminal justice system in United States of America comprises of the 3 major components which include the police, courts and then the corrections. After reporting the crime the police arrest the individual and hold him/her in custody for further investigation. Then the case is preceded to the courts which provide the decision in favor of accused or Plaintiff and the criminal is preceded to correctional facilities in case of sentencing any punishment (Schmalleger, 2008).
