While lawmakers, experts and the public agree that airport security must be strengthened in the wake of the worst act of terrorism in U.S. history, there is a great deal of disagreement about how to do so. While debate continues on whether to federalize airport security, Bush and individual airports have acted to increase some security measures. But even so, some observers say that security is inconsistent and others say that it is as lax as before Sept. 11.
