This paper discusses the various events and circumstances that allowed Hitler and his Nazi Party NSDAP to come to power. Germany was plagued by many problems at the end of war and most of them were attributed to the then German government. Taking advantage of the problems Hitler offered solutions that he would implement once he came into power. The masses were very captivated by the style of Hitler's leadership and so they chose him as their leader.

Introduction
Towards the end of World War I, Germany started to face a lot of problems and the humiliation that the treaty of Versailles brought on the German nation. Add to that, the stipulations in the treaty further aggravated the conditions and slowly and gradually taking advantage of these blunders of the German government Hitler came into power.

Problems that Germany faced during 1919 to 1932
In the final months of World War I, it was becoming very clear that Germany was going to lose the war. The then generals of the German army began to put plans into motion for a truce with the Allied powers. The generals made an independent civilian cabinet to hold talks with the Allied forces mainly to gain favor and avoid associating defeat with German army. This cabinet soon collapsed as workers and soldiers rose up against it in November 1918. Friedrich Ebert became the chancellor and election for the constituent assembly took place (Schlosser, 2008).
The parliament met at Weimar to draft the constitution and also signed the Treaty of Versailles presented by the Allied Forces and this was where the problems started for the German or the Weimar republic. Germany's defeat was perceived to be associated with the Weimar Republic and to add to that the Weimar politicians were responsible for signing the Treaty of Versailles which lead to loss of German territory, reimbursements to allied forces and the war guilt clause. The republic faced grave economic problems and people started revolting against the government (Reil & Schram, 1993).
In 1919, the people in favor of bringing a Russian styled communist government in Berlin rebelled. In 1920, another rebellion of Kapp Putsch aimed to overthrow the government for signing the treaty and set up a new government. There was wide spread killings where 356 government politicians were assassinated by terror groups. The government was financing war by printing more money instead of tax increase which led to out of control inflation. The reparations by Allied forces worsened the situation even more.
