Introduction
Social work is defined as the opportunity to help people tackle the issues such as personal and family problems which tend to hamper their growth in their respective fields. Social work helps those people by providing the ways out of those problems, thus affecting the life of them and others around them. Therefore, a social worker is an individual who have the strength to understand the people and their problems so that the effective solutions can be crafted out (Viviene, p.111). Social worker, therefore, transpires into a complete profession, which is quite capable of constituting a living for the individual who choose to work in this discipline. Social workers tend to deal with the people as clients and ties to solve their problems ranging stretching from family problem to unemployment. Therefore, the horizon is quite wide which the social worker tends to cater. However, many among the social workers tend to cater to people belonging to a certain community or choose to work in some specialized environment; social workers who hold the license to practice are known as Licensed Clinical Social Worker.

In order to work as a social worker, it is important to at least obtain the degree of Bachelors in Social Work (BSW); however, acquiring the Bachelor's degree won't be efficient in crafting out a living out of it. It does require the field of specialization such as psychology, sociology and other respective disciplines. In order to obtain the license for clinical work the master's degree is required in the same program. Masters degree allows the social worker to work with a clear focus hence catering to a particular subject thus developing its expertise in the specific field. All states have a complete procedure in order to obtain the license or certificate to work as clinical social workers. Most of the states tend to give the required license or certificate only upon completion of 2 years or 3,000 hours under a supervisor who tends to have an experience in this field. However, it may vary from state to state depending upon numerous factors.
