Discussion
The conflicts in Somalia have led to mass destruction in the country, destabilizing the economic conditions and affecting the lives of the people in Somalia. Somalia is among the most underdeveloped, deprived and poor nations of the world. Today's breakdown of the country and the state of creeping civil war or anarchy is nothing new in this part of Africa. Somalia for most of its history was divided into small kingdoms, cities and states, constantly competing with each other. The current condition of Somalia is very disastrous with people having no access to food, shelter, healthcare or any other facility. The economic conditions of the country have worsened day by day due to continuing conflicts in the region. Currently, Somalia faces two very big challenges: Famine and Poverty. People of Somalia are extremely deprived with very less or no access to facilities of education, food, shelter, jobs and basic medical facilities. In spite of the united nation's keen interest to help reconstruct Somalia and resurrect it from the current condition, it didn't have any major impact on the nation's development (Kusow, 2004).
