Abstract

The effects of advance technology on communication have been drastic. It has enabled human being to develop most sophisticated channels of communication that has, in turn, lead to hyper connectivity, cost and time savings, and bridged the gap. On the downside, it has a detrimental effect on our communication skills, for example, development of Slang language. This text aims to highlight some of the aspects of the technology and would focus on drawing a meaningful conclusion out of it.

Communication has been an indispensable part of human life since the beginning of his kind. Over the time, Man developed better means of communication which removes the barrier of space and time. Gone were the days, when we used to wait for days for our mail to arrive, carrying the message for us. There was no way to remain connected with all your friends and family. Technology has played a pivotal role in this context. As technology advanced, we observe significant progress in the communication process which is significantly impacting our personal and professional sphere of lives. New electronic communication like email, IM, and SMS is providing us instant communication means. The advances in technology have made the communication faster, efficient and sophisticated. The effects of advanced technologies have just begun to unravel; it is being realized that there is still huge room for improvement and it can change our lives that we have never seen it.
